Negotiating Update (6/11/2024)

Allegiant Air Pilots:

Focus on Scheduling Rules and PBS

We concluded in-person meetings with key company scheduling personnel in Las Vegas last week. Throughout the week, we continued discussion focused on improving Section 15–Scheduling rules and a PBS system. The dialogue was constructive and laid the foundation for progress on the details of Section 15. That will take collaboration on this complex section of our contract, and that is what we are prepared to do.

During our meeting last week, the Company agreed to provide us essential access to the test environments for PBS software solutions that are currently under consideration, to help ensure the correct software solution is chosen for our airline. The Union is working with a PBS subject matter expert who has extensive experience implementing PBS software and addressing broad scheduling and operational issues.

Timelines and Future Bargaining

To date we have reached tentative agreements on 16 of 26 sections in the CBA. Given the work that remains to be done on scheduling this month and other issues, the Company’s “three weeks to a deal” timeline is not realistic. However, we are putting in the hard work to get a good agreement done and that will not stop. We have added an airline economist to work with our team on improvements to pay and benefits, as Section 3-Compensation, Section 4-Retirement and Section 6-Insurance all remain open for bargaining

We have included a chart for your reference to summarize the work that remains ahead.

Your Negotiating Committee is fully committed to achieving the CBA that you demand and we will continue to do everything in our power, from meticulous preparation to adding more negotiation dates, in order to bring these negotiations to a successful close. Our number one goal is to secure a very good contract as quickly as possible without loopholes in the language or leaving anything on the table.

Unity is Strength

To become a destination carrier, Allegiant must make significant improvements to your pay, retirement and quality of life. It is crucial that you remain united and are prepared to stand your ground should the company prove unwilling to deliver on its commitments to making Allegiant a destination carrier. This is your contract!

We continue mediated negotiations this week, with additional negotiating sessions scheduled to take place June 24-26. We will update you on any progress and encourage you to read a little more about the mediation process here (NMB.gov).

Thank you for your continued support.
