Negotiating Update (6/24/2024)
Allegiant Air Pilots:
Thank you for your continued support over the past few weeks. This is especially relevant as each of you stood strong and unified in the face of the company’s recent attempt to undermine your Negotiating Committee and pressure you into accepting a substandard deal. Buttressed by your support, we look forward to returning to negotiations this week and making significant and meaningful progress towards a Tentative Agreement (TA) on Section 14 – Hours of Service, Section 15 – Scheduling, and Section 16 – Reserve.
We can get to the finish line. Your Negotiating Committee is both prepared and willing to get the right agreement completed as fast as the process will allow. In order to get to the finish line, the onus is on the company’s negotiators and upper management to back up their stated enthusiasm with earnest effort at the table. With that said, every pilot also has a role to play; this committee is only as effective as you allow us to be. It is up to each and every one of you to remain unified, ignore the noise and distractions, and to do whatever it takes to give your Negotiating Committee the support and strength needed to bring negotiations to a successful end.
We will meet the company for mediated negotiations in Las Vegas Tuesday through Thursday this week, June 25 – June 27. Thank you all for your support and your willingness to hold the line to achieve the contract that you have earned and truly deserve. We look forward to being able to share plans for the August mediation sessions and communicating with you after the June sessions have concluded.
