Negotiating Update (9/16/2024)

Fellow Pilots,

Frequency of Meetings

Your Negotiating Committee continues to do all within our control to reach tentative agreements on open sections so that we can deliver the contract you deserve without delay.

On September 11, 2024, the Union Negotiating Committee contacted management’s negotiators and asked if the Company anticipated completing its Sections 14, 15 and 16 responses before the next round of mediation; whether they were available for a virtual meeting prior to upcoming mediation to pass and explain their counterproposals; and if yes, on what dates. As of this writing, we have received no response or even acknowledgement that the message was received and being considered. This is unacceptable behavior. As we’ve said before, the time for games has long passed. Allegiant pilots demand respect. We stand on equal footing with management, not below them.

If management is still working on its responses, fine, then show this Negotiating Committee the professional courtesy that every Allegiant pilot deserves by saying that is the case and responding to our request to meet. This lack of a response is disrespectful to every pilot on the seniority list and undercuts the claims of individuals managers who are saying to individual pilots that the Company wants a ratifiable contract pilots can be proud of sooner rather than later.

Beware of “Holiday” Messaging

In preparation for the holiday flying season, you may hear management narratives like “contract by Christmas” or something similar during their visits to bases and recurrent classes. In fact, this what some pilots report they heard last week in recurrent class. This type of messaging was used in the past, season after season, year after year. Regardless of management’s intent this go around, Holiday Season 2024 will not be another one where “narratives” carry the day. The pathway to a contract is frequent, focused meetings with your Negotiating Committee – not with individual pilots in training classes. A fair contract can be completed as soon as the company is ready to make it happen; the NC has no incentive to prolong this process one minute longer than necessary.

Closing Thoughts

Thank you all for your continued support. Continue to ignore the noise and baseless rumors and demand the contract you deserve. Do not hesitate to reach out directly to your NC or union representatives for clarification or questions. Your solidarity and resolve will get us through this process. The more united you are in demanding what you are worth, the faster we get to the finish line. Allegiant Pilots = Allegiant Profits.
