General Membership Update (9/20/24)
Fellow Pilots,
This message is being sent out as a quick update to recap our activities this week and to apprise you on what your volunteers and staff have coming up.
Negotiations
A one-day mediation meeting via Zoom has been added on Tuesday, September 24, where the company has been told to pass back Sections 14, 15, 16, and the PBS LOA. The company has agreed to meet for in person negotiations October 29-31, and has added an additional week of mediation the week prior on October 22-24. While this appears promising, we must note that the company continues to ignore requests to meet outside of mediation.
Media / Communications
This week, billboards taking our message to the public went up in Las Vegas. Next week, we expect more to go up in Florida and Mid-West cities. Additionally, online digital advertising has begun and the platforms, target audiences, and locations will be expanded further.

Forum testing is still underway so that we may have a proper union town hall. Our next phase of testing will be rolled out to all committee chairs and members. At that point, we will be in the final stages of preparing the forum for release to the membership. We believe that you will be happy with the results and thank those who have worked so hard behind the scenes on this project.
The local now has an X (formally Twitter) account: https://x.com/APALocal2118

HIMS Seminar
Committee Chair Byron Girmscheid and committee members attended a HIMS Basic Education Seminar in Denver. APA Local 2118 was one of the sponsors. The committee will be putting out their own full update in the next general membership communication.
Capital Strategies
The Teamsters took our story to Wall Street this week and held six separate meetings, explaining why Allegiant Pilots need significant contract improvements to allow for the growth Allegiant is promising investors and its pilots.
Office Move
We are in the middle of our move to the new office, located at 10000 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas NV 89135. We will be completely out of the Decatur office by the end of the week and already have temporary furniture in our new location. As always, feel free to drop in.
