Hurricane Milton

Fellow Pilots,

Hurricane Milton is expected to make land fall on the central west coast of Florida near Tampa sometime Wednesday. Do not hesitate to reach out to a union representative if you need assistance or have difficulties when dealing with the Company. You and your loved one’s safety is what’s most important.

More than 50 of Florida’s counties are under states of emergency and the following counties have issued mandatory evacuation orders: Charlotte, Hillsborough, Citrus, Manatee, Hernando, Lee, and Pasco.

The hurricane will impact millions of Florida residents, inform your RCP and let them know your situation and that you need their assistance with removal from assignments. During these difficult times, it is unreasonable to expect you to contact Crew Services, wait on a long hold, and then have a discussion with Schedulers about assignment removal. The Chief Pilot’s Office is equipped and able to handle this situation for you while you take care of your home and or loved ones. Keep your RCP informed.
