Hurricane Assistance
Allegiant Pilots,
Yesterday afternoon we received notice from the Teamsters Human Rights and Diversity Commission and the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund of an effort to assist Teamster members and families who are enduring flooding and damage to their homes from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
FOR MEMBERS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE:
We know that many of our members are dealing with significant damage to their homes and property and disruption of their lives. The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is a resource designed to provide financial relief for members who have suffered losses due to such events. Any Teamster member who has experienced property damage due to a natural disaster may apply for assistance. This relief is intended to help cover the cost of essential repairs and other disaster-related expenses.
We have teamed up with the G4 Pilot Assistance Fund (https://www.g4paf.org) to help us process applications. Submit application for assistance to admin@g4paf.org.
Your Application for Assistance should include:
• Name;
• Employee Number;
• Contact information;
• Description of damage to your property; and
• Supporting documentation, including receipts for disaster-related expenses, construction or repair estimates, insurance claim forms, and/or photos of damage.
Once you have submitted your application and the required documents, the G4 Pilot Assistance Fund will review your request to ensure all necessary information is included. The union will then submit a collective request for all affected members to the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund via the Joint Council. Please note that while every request will be reviewed by the Teamster Relief Fund’s Trustees, submission does not guarantee approval.
FOR MEMBERS WHO ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE:
If you are able to assist in this effort you can make monetary or tangible donations directly to Teamster Locals located in or near disaster areas as follows.
