Fellow Allegiant Pilots,

During this 2024 holiday season, the Strategic Preparedness Committee is launching an aggressive public information campaign to advocate for an industry-standard contract. It’s time for Allegiant to heed the pilots’ urgent calls for a contract prioritizing quality of life and financial gain. We will not trade one for another!

This is a nationwide call to action, and we will not stop this fight until our pilot group receives an industry-standard contract – management delays or excuses are unacceptable. Across our network, regardless of base size or location, we will conduct regular informational picketing events to strengthen further and publicize our message.

Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien, along with other VIPs, will attend our Allegiant Headquarters informational picket on November 12, beginning at noon. This will be an event you will not want to miss!

The APA2118 Strike Authorization Vote officially opened on Friday, October 25, and will close on Thursday, November 7, at 1700 PDT. Make no mistake that this vote is a key step in securing a new CBA. It demonstrates that our pilot group is united and showcases our resolve to strike if management does not deliver the contract we expect and deserve. A strike authorization vote is not a work stoppage. Our local must follow the Collective Bargaining Process under the Railway Labor Act before striking. As stated in the Allegiant Travel Company’s Third Quarter 2024 Earnings Call, the company plans to address headwinds with hopes of delivering industry-leading results. This approach is focused on restoring peak period utilization, Boeing 737 MAX entry into service, and certain revenue initiatives.

None of this can happen, and Allegiant cannot avoid a pilot staffing shortage without an industry-standard CBA. Our pilots are fed up with Allegiant’s “more for less.”

Boeing 737 MAX delivery delays have presented challenges across the industry; Allegiant can’t blame Boeing alone. Allegiant Travel Company has invested in Sunseeker, Tee Snap, and Family Fun Centers and prioritized a joint venture with Viva Aerobus. It’s long past the time for the Company to invest heavily in its pilot group to ensure that the airline offers the quality of life, working conditions, and compensation terms it will take to compete for pilots in a highly competitive labor market.

Allegiant must make an immediate course correction. All workgroups have ratified new agreements except for our pilots, and your strong “YES” vote on the strike authorization gives our local a lot more bargaining and unity capital than one may believe.
