Negotiating Update (5/4/2024)

Allegiant Air Pilots,

First, we wish to thank the previous members of our Negotiating Committee for their work and commitment to our negotiating efforts. Their dedication has brought us closer to the finish line and we are grateful for their time and service. We’re ready to take it from here.

Your new Negotiating Committee is capable and prepared for the challenging, but rewarding road ahead. We understand that delivering an uncompromising and robust Tentative Agreement (TA) that you can be proud to vote on is the top priority of this pilot group; we will deliver.

Negotiating Approach: This is your contract.

Our approach is simple. We are driven by your feedback, whether direct or through surveys, to achieve a Tentative Agreement (TA) that properly addresses your desires and concerns. We analyze each and every data point to ensure that our bargaining strategy aligns with the collective wishes of our pilots.

From junior to senior pilots, big bases to small, east coast to west, your input is heard and every single voice matters. The qualitative responses that you provided during our most recent survey was incredibly informative. We will continue to read each and every one to ensure that your collective needs will be met in the new contract.

Communications Approach

Trust is not forced, it is earned; we will do our best to continuously earn your trust. Our team is committed to open and transparent communications regarding the negotiations process while still respecting the boundaries set by our non-disclosure agreements. Although we seek to earn your trust, as the saying goes, you should all “trust, but verify.” We are representatives working on your behalf on your contract. We encourage you to hold us accountable to the highest standards and provide feedback to improve our efficiency.

Your insights and feedback are critical to our negotiating success. We are grateful for your participation in the recent pilot survey and we ask that you continue to make your voice heard as we negotiate on your behalf. You should look forward to receiving weekly updates to keep you up to speed on our negotiating progress.

Current Activities

Your negotiating team (including our legal counsel) has spent much of the last few days meeting, collaborating, and preparing for our upcoming negotiation sessions that begin on May 9th. We recognize that negotiating is a full-time commitment and are willing to devote the maximum time, effort, and resources necessary to get an industry standard or better TA across the finish line.

Collective Alignment

Our goals and objectives are shared. We now know that our pilots’ needs, wants, and concerns are greatly aligned based on the survey data we have analyzed. This unity of vision significantly strengthens our bargaining position and will be crucial as we advocate for your position at the negotiating table.

Looking Ahead

The team is enthusiastic about stepping into our new roles and we are preparing every single day to hit the ground at “game speed” on May 9th and beyond. A new TA isn’t just a priority, it’s a possibility and it’s within our reach. We’re motivated by our duty to serve this pilot group and help to get us across the finish line.
