Allegiant Pilots Assistance Network Update: Hurricane Isaias
Hurricane Support and Resources
Fellow Pilots,
Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin Friday evening. The days and weeks ahead bring challenges to the many communities impacted.
Just like any natural disaster, emotions run high and communities pull together to recover and rebuild. Crewmembers have been impacted in VPS and along the storm path. We extend our heartfelt support and wish everyone a safe and swift recovery.
Allegiant Pilots Assistance Network (APAN) wants to remind those impacted by natural disaster of the following self-care items:
- Enact your (Family) safety plan.
- Check in with loved ones and others in the impacted community. Be mindful of homebound and elderly.
- Make time to rest, eat, and hydrate.
- Find ways to be thankful, remain positive and find some humor whenever possible.
- Feeling overwhelmed is understandable. If these feelings get worse or continue more than a few days, call our APAN team for some strategies and support.
APAN is a network of pilot volunteers at your service with a host of support capacities. We can help you manage your unique situation.
TYS APAN volunteer Felipe Casasfranco has offered to lead any assistance requests. He can be reached at (954) 736-9389.
Please take care of yourselves, your families, and one another.
Fraternally,
Allegiant Pilots Assistance Network (APAN)
