Real World Examples Part 2

From Priorities to Preferences:
The Anniversary Comes First

Fellow Pilots,

Module 5 of the Skywise PBS Training Series,
Real World Examples Part 2: From Priorities to Preferences,
is now available.

This module brings together and reinforces the concepts introduced in the previous modules. You will follow one pilot’s complete bidding strategy, from identifying personal priorities to building and reviewing three bid groups with deliberate compromises along the way.

The example demonstrates how days-off requests, credit preferences, pairing selections, and fallback options work together. It also uses the Analyzer to show how preferences affect the available pairing pool.

Practice Is an Essential Part of Learning PBS
We encourage all pilots, at every seniority level, to participate in future mock bids. Practicing, reviewing your results, and refining your preferences are essential parts of learning the system.

Further communication will be coming to review the results of Mock Bid 1. In the meantime, access to the Skywise bidder interface will be temporarily unavailable until the results are posted.

PBS Training Materials
Module 5 and all previously released training materials are available through the PBS Training Series.
