G4 Pilot Assistance Fund and Captain Andy Fulks Go Fund Me
Allegiant Air Pilots:
I recently learned about our brother and fellow pilot, Allegiant Cincinnati Captain Andy Fulks’ illness.
As members of Local 2118 we are bound together in so many ways. We come together because we firmly understand that we are stronger together. We often think of this in our professional lives, but it also applies to our personal lives. When tragedy strikes one of us, the rest of us can help alleviate, at least in small measure, the impact of that calamity.
Following a breakfast meeting with Josh Allen and Tom Beiser last week, and a subsequent phone call with Brad Keller, I have a deepened appreciation and understanding of the G4 Pilot Assistance Fund. It’s not simply a vacation donation-type program or just about financial assistance, but about the collective strength we have to care for each other when there are few other places to turn.
Modeled after Jet Blue’s “Blue Pilot Fund,” the fund is an autonomous entity with no connection to our Local or Allegiant. It is run by pilots for pilots, with Captain Brad Keller at the helm. Since it is run by colleagues with hearts, this is not a typical insurance risk pool run by actuaries.
Let’s come together and support the Fulks family. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated! Please consider visiting the website and signing up here:
