Strike Authorization Vote Reminder
Fellow Allegiant Pilots,
Today, November 7, our Strike Authorization Vote (SAV) will close at 1700 PDT.
Please ensure that you have cast your “YES” vote by this evening! We would like to reference a post to our forum – an opinion piece written by Steward Richie Mercado – that sums up the gravity of how serious the need for this SAV is:
“A successful result, which is a unanimous turnout of affirmative “yes” votes, continues negotiations with a unified front and understanding by management that this pilot group is willing to go to the very end fighting for what we believe in. It brings the full weight of the pilot group into one voice, proving to management that the games must stop, or we will go to the extremes of striking for what we know is just.”
The most recent update from your Negotiations Committee, followed by the company’s response, gives credit to Richie’s words, and we encourage those interested in reading more to visit the forum. Voting is also extremely quick and easy. If you have lost your individual link, or would like to ensure that you have voted “YES” instead of “NO,” please email Karen VanNostrand (KVanNostrand@apa2118.org) so that you may receive a new link.
If you have any remaining questions about the SAV, we encourage you to speak to your Stewards or peers before the vote closes this evening. Nothing you do today could be more important than this, and all of your fellow pilots appreciate your support!
In Unity,
Strategic Preparedness Committee
