Negotiations

We have received a few questions regarding the Negotiating Committee’s willingness to meet with the company. Let me assure you, the committee is fully dedicated, working tirelessly on your contract, and ready to meet around the clock if need be.

To that end, the company accepted our invitation to meet in Las Vegas next week to further discuss the PBS language ahead of our scheduled mediated session, with the full blessing of the mediator.

Communications

We sent two messages to the membership just after noon yesterday and the server stopped sending after 65 emails. It was finally restored in the middle of the night. We are working with the provider to ensure such issues do not happen in the future.

Teamsters Airline Division

General President O’Brien has taken steps to divide the Airline Division between “Above the Wing” (pilots, dispatchers, and flight attendants) and “Below the Wing” (technicians, ground service, and CSA’s material specialists). This welcome development will allow our craft access to greater resources, advocacy, and focus from the International. More details will be circulated in the coming weeks.
