Trustee Updates & Survey Reminder

Allegiant Air Pilots,

Thank you to everyone who joined last week’s pilot meeting via Zoom. On Friday, I found that I had not armed the proper button on Zoom, and the meeting was not recorded. I sincerely apologize and have taken steps to ensure that future meetings will be recorded so they can be posted on the Local 2118 website for replay. We do have a list of the questions that were asked during the meeting and we will be producing an FAQ to address many of the inquiries.

As was mentioned in Friday’s negotiating update, we plan to host future Webinars on Tuesdays, a historically low flying day. Look for an email in the coming week containing details for joining the next meeting.

I’m happy to announce that, at my request, General President O’Brien has appointed Captain James (“Jim”) Clark to serve as Temporary Assistant Trustee. Jim, an Allegiant pilot, was formerly the principal officer for the Republic Pilots of Local 357. He has a long history as an elected leader and has proven his organizational strength and deep understanding of Teamster Local management. Jim will be predominantly focused on building the Local’s infrastructure, governance, financial processes, and reporting procedures.

Finally, as a reminder, if you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to complete the Bargaining Priorities Survey via the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3KVML7C. The survey response period will remain open for a full week, closing this coming Sunday. We estimate it will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Thanks in advance for participating in your union. Your voice matters in shaping the direction of our negotiations.

Fraternally,

Greg Unterseher, Temporary Trustee
