In Memory of Captain Jose Atiles

Fellow Pilots,

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Captain Jose Atiles Lopez. Captain Atiles was based in SFB and was a valued member of our pilot group. His passing is a tremendous loss, and our thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. On behalf of the Executive Board and Teamsters Local 2118, we extend our deepest condolences to Jose’s family, friends, fellow crewmembers, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and flying with him. We know that many of our pilots shared the flight deck with Jose over the years, and his loss will be felt throughout our pilot group.

Moments like these remind us that we are more than coworkers, we are a close-knit community. We hope Jose’s family and loved ones find strength and comfort in the support of those around them and in the many memories they shared together. Please keep Captain Atiles and all those mourning his loss in your thoughts during the days ahead.
